Vancouver Corporate Event Photography

A professional photographer will create photos that have a lasting impact on your audience. They will showcase your event in a way that highlights your achievements, values and culture.

If you are planning a corporate event in Metro Vancouver, you might be tempted to save some money and capture the event with your smart phone. After all, smart phones have advanced cameras and editing features that can produce decent photos. However, there are many benefits of hiring a professional photographer that you might not have considered.

Here are some of them:

  • Quality: A professional photographer has the skills, experience and lighting and camera equipment to produce high-quality photos that reflect your brand and vision. They know how to use lighting, angles, composition and editing to create stunning images that capture the essence of your event. They also have backup equipment and contingency plans in case something goes wrong. A smart phone camera, on the other hand, has limitations in terms of resolution, zoom, focus and stability. It also depends on the user’s ability and availability to take good photos, which might be compromised by other tasks or distractions during the event.
  • Convenience: A professional photographer will take care of everything related to photography, from planning to delivery. They will consult with you before the event to understand your goals, expectations and preferences. They will scout the venue and prepare accordingly. They will arrive on time and work efficiently and discreetly. They will edit and deliver the photos in a timely manner and in the format that you need. You won’t have to worry about anything except enjoying your event and interacting with your guests. A smart phone camera, on the other hand, will require you to do all the work yourself or delegate it to someone else who might not have the time or expertise to do it well.
  • Impact: A professional photographer will create photos that have a lasting impact on your audience. They will showcase your event in a way that highlights your achievements, values and culture. They will tell a story that engages and inspires your guests, clients, partners and employees. They will help you create a positive image and reputation for your company. A smart phone camera, on the other hand, will produce photos that are generic, bland and forgettable. They might not convey the message or emotion that you want to communicate.

As you can see, hiring a professional photographer for your next board meeting, conference, trade show, or AGM is a worthwhile investment that will pay off in many ways. It will save you time, hassle and stress. It will enhance your event experience and outcomes. It will boost your company’s brand awareness and recognition, and can also help boost staff excitement and morale for the corporate event. It will make your event memorable and successful.

Corporate training videos have come a long way. Years ago, I recall watching a variety of corporate training videos, which were usually on VHS tape or DVDs, and lasted for at least 20 minutes, but often much longer. They were usually watched at the office and were sometimes difficult to watch due to all the nearby distractions.

More organizations are now putting their corporate videos online. Whether they are internally accessed or available through public or semi-private websites such as YouTube, these videos are often much shorter and can be accessed anywhere.

We recently did a short 3 minute training video for an environment testing lab. The purpose of the video is to present best practices for submitting environmental samples to their laboratories. The video was produced in English, but a French subtitled version was also produced using the same English video.

Here is the corporate training video published online on their channel:
